Lena Placzek, PT, DPT


Lena came to the US from Poland in 2010 to run Division I Track and Field and Cross Country for the University of Iowa. Lena simultaneously earned her B.A. Health and Human Physiology and B.S. in Sports Business Management. 

Lena believes in life long education. She decided to go back to school to pursue physical therapy degree, after 10 years working as a personal trainer and a coach, to better serve her clients on their journey from rehab to top performance. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Hunter College in NYC. 

Lena has extensive experience working with runners of all levels, from those training for their first marathon to US Olympic Trials Qualifiers. She is the current strength coach for the Brooklyn Track Club. Lena also worked with professional MLB players during the 2024 off season training and with college football players preparing for the 2024 NFL combine at EXOS training facility in Arizona. 

Outside of working at Reload, Lena continues to chase her own running goals and hopes to complete all seven world major marathons. She also enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, traveling and most importantly spending time and showing the world to her daughter, Zosia.
